Future Goals

As a current Ph.D. student, I am preparing to complete my doctoral studies within the next year and transition into industry as a UX Researcher. My long-term career goal is to secure a mid-level UX research position within the first year after graduation, where I can contribute to evidence-based product development, lead research initiatives, and continue developing expertise in qualitative and mixed-methods research.

To support this transition, my professional development goals for the next six months include:

  1. Conducting an interview study to strengthen my qualitative research skills, particularly in collecting, facilitating, and analyzing rich verbal data through interviews.
  2. Completing the “Conduct UX Research and Test Early Concepts” course from Google on Coursera to expand my understanding of industry UX research methods and strengthen practical skills in conducting and applying user research in product environments.
  3. Developing portfolio case studies that demonstrate my ability to synthesize qualitative research findings and thoughtfully apply AI tools to accelerate analysis, generate insights, and communicate research outcomes effectively.

Through these experiences, I aim to bridge academic and industry research approaches and build a strong foundation for a successful career in UX research.
